At Cansaulim, the payment of the water bills is accepted at Cooperative Bank, however, due to large quantity of consumers, from the villages of Cansaulim, Arossim and Cuelim, the staff is unable to cope up with the work pressure.
Generally there are long serpentine queues and no separate queue for the senior citizens as is available in other places. Last week I went to pay my bill but had to turn back as there was no separate arrangement for the senior citizens and the queue was very long. Again I went to pay the bill on January 24 at about 11 am but I was told that the payment is received only between 9.30 am to 10.30 am. Hence I could not make the payment.
This being the sorry state of affairs, I would request the authorities concerned to entrust one more bank at Cansaulim to accept payments so that public has not to face the present hardship. Or direct the existing bank to accept the payment from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm as was done earlier and also ensure separate queue for senior citizens.
