The residents of Ward No 9 in Village Panchayat of Salvador do Mundo have been demanding to hot-mix the Paitona bund road since long. It has deteriorated with potholes and rain washed tar endangering life of the vehicle users, particularly senior citizens travelling on their two-wheelers.
The local youth had filled the potholes to give relief to the general public sometime earlier. Recently, these boys have done a commendable work in restoring two bund sheds damaged by the Cyclone Tauktae in May. The residents of Ward 9 requested the government to take up the bund road hot-mixing in view of the fast approaching festive season, beginning with Ganesh Chaturthi followed by other festivals, as well. Let us serve humanity in need with simplicity and humility to usher in peace, joy and brotherhood in living.
