Across the State it is observed that most of the interior roads in the villages are under poor condition. They are not maintained throughout the year and now with monsoon round the corner it is very important to repair these roads.
On most roads, an entire stretch of one metre or even more is filled with potholes. If the State receives heavy showers during monsoon then the road will probably get submerged and these potholes will barely be visible, leading to fatal accidents.
Before the monsoon approach Goa, I appeal to every village panchayat and other concerned authorities to look into the matter and prioritise the repair of interior roads before the monsoon.
