On our recent trip to Vagator beach on May 28, 2018 for just five minutes, we were appalled by the awkward attitude from the Sulabh Souchalaya complex staff.
We used the said toilets situated near the famous beach and as we were coming out a staff with headphones in his ears asked for money ,we asked for what he said “you’ll have used the toilet so you’ll have to pay Rs 10”. So we asked him where it is written and how is the money justified? He answered “I am not paid much, I have to clean and if you don’t pay you can’t leave.”
We paid him Rs 10 as we felt threatened for our vulnerable members in our family. I would like to request the management of the Sulabh International Social Service Organisation to please refrain your staff from begging from the tourists and put signboards about your rate of your service charges to prevent any outward incidents on this famous beach in the near future.
