The general complaint is that vehicular drivers do not slowdown as they approach a pedestrian crossing. But then for the vehicles to slow down the zebra-crossing should be visible from a reasonable distance by the road-users and the white lines should be prominent. However, this does not seem to be the case in Vasco.
The paint of many zebra-crossings in the Port Town have faded. The pedestrian crossings which are badly in need of a fresh coat of paint are conspicuous at the bus-stand and the church square. The concerned authorities should ensure that these zebra-crossings get a fresh coat of paint so that they are visible.
