It’s been many months now the generator and windmill installed at the PHC-Siolim has been defunct and need emergency operation by mechanics.
As per reliable sources these backup power banks were a very good idea conceptualised by the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane to tackle the frequent power cuts in Siolim.
But failure to maintain these equipments defeats the purpose for its good intentions.
Will the Health Minister or someone follow it up on a war-footing? It is also important to see that the authorities will once again set up the Hospital visiting committees involving villagers.
These committees will help the PHCs to improve in their service and create more hygienic amenities in the hospital for the patients who avail treatment.
