The issue regarding a protruding piece of pipe lying exposed over the excavated portion of road near Goa Bagayatdar at Upper Bazaar, in Ponda was highlighted in this edition dated April 15, 2019. The situation proved disastrous for the vehicles proceeding along this strategic route as their tyres were likely to get punctured in the process.
Taking a note of the issue, the concerned authorities have tarred up the road. Hence, the protruding piece of pipe has been covered up. I take this opportunity to thank the authorities for their favourable action in interest of the innocent commuters. Also, thanks to the Herald Team for highlighting this important issue.
