The sharp turn near Shree Kapileshwar Temple at Kapileshwari in Ponda happens to be a most sensitive location. There are neither any speed breakers nor necessary traffic signboards on either side of this turn in order to exercise control over the proceeding vehicles.
Due to this, reckless driving has become the order of the day at this location. Vehicles even overtake at a fast speed thereby inviting danger not only for self but even for fellow travellers and pedestrians as well.
On some occasions, even mishaps have taken place at this critical spot. However, till date the concerned authorities have not yet initiated any positive steps in order to assure safety for the travellers and pedestrians. In case, precautionary measures are not undertaken, the situation is likely to go out of control thereby resulting in accidents sooner or later.
Hence it is very much essential that speed-breakers and traffic signboards (thereby mentioning the prescribed speed limit) are installed on either side of this turn at once.
Introduction of favourable steps would go a long way in assuring relief of public at large. Let us hope that the authorities would initiate prompt positive steps in order to assure safety to precious human lives.
