Many a time public utilities, private internet service providers dig ditches by the side of the Benaulim-Mobor road for laying of electrical lines, fibre optic cables, sewerage lines, storm water drains etc., but leave the job unfinished. During the monsoons, grass grows in such channels and it is very difficult to spot them.
Besides, being a receptacle for garbage these ditches are also a deathtrap for vehicles plying on the road often resulting in serious accidents, especially during the night. May I request the civic authorities to either provide covers for such drains or fill them up after cables have been laid.
