At times we hear of news about linesmen meeting with accidents while discharging their duty, some of which have resulted in fatality. With a little bit of caution such accidents are avoidable.

In western countries those working on the electricity poles have to mandatorily wear a helmet, gloves and other protective gear and they are also secured to the pole by a rope.
