This lady cobbler has been occupying the footpath near the Union Bank of India in Ponda for undertaking her activities. This is the only source of income for supporting her family. Over the years, she and her husband have been continuing their trade at this particular location. However, they face great inconvenience and trouble, more so during the rainy season. Being totally helpless, they have no other alternative but to face the miseries during the heavy showers. The Ponda Municipal Council should levy a sympathetic consideration to the difficulties faced by this couple and provide a suitable spot to them at the municipal market at Upper Bazaar, where they would be able to undertake their trade more efficiently. Let us hope that favorable positive action would follow at the earliest.
