QMC needs to pay attention to Quepem’s needs

This is to bring to your kind notice that the street lights at newly built bridge are not workings for the past two years. Concerned authorities are not bothered to fix them as it was brought to their notice by Herald newspaper last year. But everyone is least bothered, also both bridges needs painting and proper maintenance.
Here are some points which the concerned authorities in Quepem taluka need to follow up:
New LED bulbs are fixed on the highways/market but some are not working, need to do round inspection to replace the bulbs which are not working. The concerned counselor should report to Electricity Dept every time when the lights are not working. No one really seems to care.
Quepem Garden should also be maintained properly and lights in the garden should be checked regularly so that miscreants do not use the garden for illegal purposes in case of darkness. This must carried out by the Quepem Municipal Council.
Goods-Rickshaw stand is turning from bad to worst. There is no proper parking space and the vehicles park haphazardly. The monsoons will be arriving soon. With the potholes surfacing everywhere and pools of water around the market will make it difficult for the pedestrians to walk around the market area for shopping.
All left-overs like rubble, stones, heaps of mud and garbage need to be cleared up from the road side, so that there is smooth passage of vehicles and also for pedestrians to walk in the absence of footpaths.
Quepem needs to take Sanvordem’s example because Sanvordem is fast developing under good guidance.
