The manual railway crossing at Sarzora is causing unbearable hurdles for smooth flow of road traffic. It is a considerable short cut instead of detour via Margao to vehicular traffic both goods and passengers flowing from Chinchinim, Assolna, Cavelossim, Cuncolim and moving towards Chandor, Quepem, Sanvordem and beyond and vice versa.
The continuous movement of passenger trains — local and long distances, besides goods and row trains — forces commuters waste long time too frequently and is a positive nuisance. The topography favours very easy construction of flyover, but authorities, deliberately purposely turn a deaf ear, until people rise up in arms and resort to violent protests.
A railway station is also a legitimate pending demand that would obviate the need to go Margao and then travel backwards Our MLAs travelling free by air do not feel the pinch of trouble of road users having to waste time at railway crossing at Sarzora. The pressing demand must be brought to the fore
