A concrete slab placed over a water-valve chamber adjacent to the bus stop near Matrushala, at Dhavali-Ponda has been noticed in a misplaced condition for almost a month.
The commuters awaiting here for buses and also pedestrians, especially the school students proceeding along the strategic location face great risk and danger. They are likely to fall inside the chamber through the existing gap thereby leading to adverse consequences.
Senior citizens would ultimately be the worst sufferers in the process. As on July 12, the situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. In order to assure safety to innocent pedestrians at large, it would be appropriate for the concerned authorities to re-install the misplaced slab in proper position at once without any further delay.
Prompt favourable action in this serious matter would indeed be appreciated by one and all.
