A concrete slab existing in a totally damaged condition (with iron rods totally exposed) at the parking area adjacent to NKGSB Bank at Kaziwada, Ponda was removed by the concerned authorities a few days back.
However, as on September 5, the slab was not replaced with an alternate one. Two-wheeler riders, who want to park their vehicles here, face inconvenience due to a pothole created after removing the said slab.
They are likely to collapse to the ground in case they lose balance at any instance. It would certainly lead to adverse consequences. It is absolutely necessary that safety is assured to precious human lives on a permanent basis. I sincerely request the higher officials of the concerned authority to consider this important matter with utmost seriousness in the interest of public at large.
Prompt positive action should be initiated in replacing the damaged concrete slab with a new one with immediate effect so that people visiting this spot to park their vehicles receive relief at the earliest. Let us hope that safety would be assured in this important matter in public interest.
