MARGAO: Finally, after a lengthy legal battle, the people of Carmona were granted access again to the public recreational facilities and community toilets, which were locked earlier until the recent interim order of the High Court of Bombay at Goa.
However, they discovered that the condition of the place had deteriorated with weeds growing all over. While they hailed the HC decision for providing them with great relief, they have also asked the Carmona Village Panchayat to restore water connection to the toilets.
It is to be noted that the open area where these facilities have been set up by the Carmona panchayat is around an old government primary school building in George Ward.
