Although the name of city of ‘Belgaum’ has been changed to Belagavi a few years back, we still come across instances in Ponda wherein the word ‘Belgaum’ has been existing on direction boards. One such instance is near ‘Gaunekar House’ in the vicinity of old bus stand and another near the military camp at Varkhandem. The said error depicts a negative image of Traffic Cell and hence the same should be rectified on prompt basis. Let us hope that the authorities would initiate immediate positive action in this important matter without any further delay.
