A LED fixture over the electricity pole in the vicinity of Matrushala at Dhavali in Ponda is in a wrongly directed condition. The same has been facing the extreme side instead of facing the ground. Due to this, pedestrians and travellers do not derive benefit while proceeding along this strategic location. Streetlights have been installed with the basic purpose of providing illumination on the road. However, above particular fixture falls short in assuring proper illumination for public at large. Linesmen of the electricity department deputed at this location have not yet realised this important defect. As on Saturday November 17 at 8:30 am, situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. I sincerely request the higher officials at the electricity department in Ponda to take note of above defect and initiate prompt positive action in installing the fixture in its correct position so that travellers and pedestrians are assured necessary illumination on the road. Let us hope that immediate favorable action would be initiated in this matter without any further delay.
