This pothole which was repaired sometime in November on the road leading to the Highway at Cunchelim has resurfaced within just two months. A jet patcher was used to repair the potholes along this road here with much fanfare by wasting the taxpayers money. It is reportedly learnt that each pothole cost the State exchequer a whopping Rs 16,000. The government normally blames the rains for potholed roads and one wonders who or what they will blame this time. These potholes cause numerous accidents on the busy road and often result in traffic jams. The Mapusa MLA and the Municipal councillor should take immediate steps to repair the pothole before precious lives are lost.
