Replace broken slabs during pre-monsoon work

This is that time of the year when all the pre-monsoon work should have been completed in preparation of the coming South-West monsoon which is a few days away. But this does not seem to be the case in the Port Town of Vasco.
In the past it has been observed that pre-monsoon work, like clearing of drains, was carried out even when the monsoon was in full flow. It is pertinent to note that several concrete slabs that cover the drains in the city are either broken or missing.
Since the drains have to be opened in order to clean them by removing the concrete slabs, it would be appropriate time to replace all the broken slabs with new ones and also cover the drains where the slabs are missing.
One such spot where the slabs are broken at several places is at the entrance of the Municipal Park (as seen in the photograph). This poses danger to the people, special, children who visit the park in large numbers during the evening time.
