The PWD (PHEN) has failed to replace the damaged and broken slab over the valve chamber near Roma Building Complex. The open chamber can be very dangerous during the nights or when the rains are pouring for the drivers and two-wheeler riders.
Such callous attitude of these officials is seen every now and then but their higher ups are not doing anything to improve the service and safety of the public.
Last month, PWD carried out hot-mixing of the roads without replacing the slabs. This is how the department functions. Within weeks of heavy rains, the tar has washed out. In case of any accidents at the spot, the public should hold the engineer responsible.
