The condition of the entire main road stretch of Arrarim-Saligao ward, starting from Peggy’s corner and heading right up-to the Mater-Dei High School is currently in a most horrible state as the same has been fully damaged by the labourers of the PWD in the name of laying some underground pipeline network. This has been giving nightmares for office-goers, people going for walk and those going for mass everyday wearing formal clothes even after two months.
The worse sufferers are local residents whose houses are located right across this particular road stretch area as dust frequently enters their houses.
The entire Chogm road stretch starting from Porvorim junction and heading right up-to the Sangolda Lighting club area too was similarly dug up or damaged due to laying of underground sewerage pipeline network just a couple of months back but the same has now already been hotmixed and fully restored.
Now, why the same thing has still not been done for the above Arrarim-Saligao road stretch and for how many more months should the people from this same area suffer and live with dust-pollution for no fault of theirs?
The concerned authorities should stop testing the patience of the Arrarim-Saligao residents restored at the very earliest.
