Several old and dangerous Ashoka trees along the Swatantra Path in Vasco were cut down over the past one month. However, the pavement has not been cleared of the remains of the trees such as the logs, branches and leaves that have been either been cut down or trimmed.
Much of the leaves and twigs have rotten in the rain. Besides, being a sore eye the remains emit a fouls smell and raise health concern of the residents living along the route.
The remains of the trees spread on the pavement also deprive the motorists of parking space. The authorities concern need to remove these remains urgently since it also causes inconvenience to the pedestrians and has not been removed till Saturday morning.
