Safeguard jobs of Goan postmen

Why talk only of the recently retrenched postmen by the post office, earlier in the past a number of humble Goans working for the post have faced the brunt of the postal authority doing away with their service to the people.

As recently as two months back a local youth, Vishant Sawant, has been laid off without having been paid any benefits working for the last six years in Salvador do Mundo village. His service to the locals was most impeccable and much appreciated by everyone. Sadly, he has been replaced by a non Goan who is unfamiliar with the local topography and has to learn a lot of the locality.

Why should the Goa government keep silent and let the locals suffer at the hands of the erratic postal authority functioning in a strange way. We demand an immediate solution to this problem that the local boys be given employment in the postal services and their jobs be safeguarded from being terminated unceremoniously in the near future.
