Save paper: Do something big in a small way!

A large number of trees in the country are being cut down in order to produce paper. This reduction in the green cover can contribute to climate change and global warming in a big way.
We as citizens can, in our very small way, can do our bit to prevent this by reducing the use of paper, wherever necessary.
One such example can be seen at the ATMs. It is observed that a large quantity of paper is generated at the ATMs, as people request for printed copies of the transaction or the bank balance. All this paper ultimately goes as waste as seen in the photograph.
It is pertinent to note the details of the transaction and bank balance can also be viewed on the ATM screen without requesting for a printed copy, unless absolutely necessary.
The quantity of discarded printed copies generated in the numerous ATMs in the country can be massive. Obviously all this wastage of paper can be avoided if the citizens do not request for a printed copy of the transaction/bank balance at the ATMs.
Thus let us always endeavour to think of small ways of doing big things. Remember, each one of us can contribute our mite in this ecology-saving exercise!
