While playing inside the house, the boy happened to enter the bathroom and accidentally fell into the bucket filled with water and got drowned. Of course, parents and elderly members in the family have a key role to play in assuring safety and protection to innocent youngsters.

It is very much essential that buckets and drums containing water are kept closed with proper covering so that easy access of minor children is avoided. Besides, the door of bathroom should be kept totally closed, with the latch fitted at a bit higher location and beyond the reach of children.

Even water heaters and allied electrical appliances inside the bathroom should be kept detached from the switchboard so as to avoid electrical shock to children in case they happen to touch the same.
