PONDA: Frequent stops by passenger buses in Ponda city to pick up passengers cause traffic chaos.
There are very few bus stops in Ponda city. Due to this, passenger buses while proceeding towards Margao, Panjim, Usgao, Marcaim route often continue to stop and collect passengers anywhere by the roadside. Ponda is congested city and with buses stopping in every nook and corner to collect passengers, it becomes difficult for other vehicles to move and this result in traffic jams.
There are very few existing bus stops in the city and some are at wrong places and with the growing population, there is need to identity and notify more bus stops for convenience of the people. There is a need for bus stops at the Maruti Temple, Upper Bazaar and Tisk-Ponda.
