This government started running affairs of the State with 13 seats, today by way of defection has a brute majority of 29.This is not the government people voted for. So morally, every action of this government is illegal. In the first place, it has insulted the voters and to add salt to their wounds is working against the interest of the people they represent. In what way have these defections improved our lives? It is said “do not kick a man when he’s down” but that is what this government is doing when he is suffering on account of COVID-19 pandemic, jobless, experiencing pay cuts, this government is kicking him!
How can they explain the exorbitant electricity bills? People should remember giving a party a brute majority will only ensure that the government will silence your voice. This government has waived off Rs 6 crore electricity bill of the Panaji Municipal Market of Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP). Does it aim to recover this amount from the public? The government can collect revenue by imposing fines on people who are not wearing masks, wearing it below the nose some even below the mouth around the neck. Can the government recover Rs 35,000 crore revenues lost due to illegal mining? Why are the common men always the target? The belt that the “Sarkar” urges everyone to tighten is never the one around its own ever-expanding waistline but is always the one worn by the taxpayer.
