It is appalling to see the filthy condition of some of the shuttle buses plying on the Margao- Panaji route. Spare tyres are carried in the passenger’s cabin, discarded plastic water bottles, rags, rusted dividers, dirt on the bus seats as if it hasn’t been cleaned for years, water seeping in from non functional sliding windows…it’s a hellish journey in these vehicles. While the Air Conditioned electric buses are fairly comfortable, the old buses need to be replaced by new units as soon as possible. Also cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of the vehicles is distinctly lacking which leads to not infrequent breakdowns on the road. I request the Kadamba Transport Corporation to take urgent action in this regard.
