Of late the residents of Navelcar Hill City are witnessing the influx of heavy trucks passing through our narrow village road, right from dawn to dusk causing great inconvenience to the residents due to their negligence of driving at high speed and sound, as this road is used by senior citizens for their daily walk and children walking to and from school.
These heavy trucks come from the Kadamba Highway from Panjim and cuts across the service road entering the narrow strip to Navelkar Hill City and moves recklessly in the narrow road and then drives down the Hill to proceed towards the Old Goa – Ribandar Highway. This has been brought to the notice of the police patrol that patrols this Hill City and nothing is being done till of date.
We we request the RTO to take action and refrain the trucks that use this road as a short cut, from plying on this road which is used by two and four wheelers and for safety of citizens.
