Stop the blame game and solve the problem

It is really sad to see the incident in Aquem, Margao where a child was bitten by a stray dog, who also attacked his mother and sister. It looks that the population of the stray dogs are in huge numbers and the municipality, village panchayat office, NGOs and animals welfare department teams have failed to do their duties. When such incident take place they only point fingers to one another and play the blame game without solving the issue.

Today, there are large numbers of stray dogs in the State of Goa from the panchayat areas to municipality areas having different types of diseases on them for example skin disease etc. There is no one to look after them and they run here and there and sit on the middle of the roads causing accidents to the two-wheeler riders. Sometimes, suddenly they come to bite also. Are these dogs more important than the lives of human beings.

The concerned authorities need to take them to the right place where they can take good care of them.
