Stray cattle squatting on the roads is a regular feature every monsoon in Chorao. It is not a question of just three or four cattle resting on the roads but any office-goer using Chorao road to return from work will easily inform that you will see a huge group of atleast 15 to 20 resting in certain places on these busy roads.
It creates such an inconvenience for the pedestrians that riders/drivers are forced to continuously honk to clear off this huge groups of stray cattle thereby disturbing the peace of the residents in that area.
Some times, the riders/drivers are forced to ride/drive zig-zag in between the stray cattle to make way home.
Will the owners of these stray cattle take the responsibility if any untoward incident happens to the innocent rider/driver while doing so? Why can’t the owners take the responsibility of leading their cattle to their respective cow-sheds instead of letting them allow to endanger the lives of innocent people?
The concerned authorities need to look into this issue at the earliest before any untoward incident happens on these roads due to stray cattle menace.
