The Port Town is plagued with stray dog menace and recently, a pack of canines attacking a woman at Maimolem, Vasco is scary.
The badly mauled woman had to be shifted to the Goa Medical College from the Cottage hospital as her condition was really bad.
A few months ago, a little child was badly mauled by strays in the same area.
Dog bites also lead to rabies and it is high time the People for Animals (PFA) tackle this issue on a priority basis by vaccinating and inserting collars on the strays.
Social activists, dog lovers and pet care centres should join hands and put up a centre where all stray dogs can be housed so as to prevent such scary attacks on humans in future.
