With reference to the demand ‘Replace streetlight fixture’ that appeared in ‘Citizen Herald’ January 21, this is to inform that the focus lamp fixture adjacent to Ganganath Shopee Complex at Varkhandem in Ponda has been removed by the Electricity Department. An alternate fixture is yet to be installed at above particular spot. Nevertheless let us hope that the much needed fixture would be provided for above electricity pole at the earliest in the interest of motorists and pedestrians alike. I am thankful to the Electricity Department for initiating prompt favourable action in this important mater. Also thanks to the Herald team for highlighting this sensitive matter.
