When we drive cars or ride two wheelers we come across big potholes, which are dangerous and can cause accidents. Many people have lost lives because of the potholes, due to the negligence of Public Works Department and the government.
Yet, no compensation has been provided to the victims for their negligence. This is happening because the contractors are not capable to handle the works.
The Panchayat members, Sarpanchas and MLAs allegedly get commission for the tenders issued. Water Supply Department workers also cut down the roads for new water connections due to which every road is damaged. When you drive, you will feel like you are in heaven. If you travel through unfamiliar condition of the roads, you may face the problem. So wearing of helmet is the only option to the people.
The Public Works Department and government have failed to provide better roads to the public in State.But the Transport Department loots people in the name of fines, even though the roads are not in good condition.
The hot-mixing which is done just before the rains, gets washed away in the rainy season. Wastage of taxpayers’ money and headache to the taxpayers is a prompt word to express the reality.
