For almost a month, a LED fixture existing over a streetlight pole along the Adpai jetty in Ponda has been lying in a neglected condition.
The fixture has been facing towards the extreme side thereby preventing light falling on the road for the benefit of travellers and pedestrians proceeding along this route.
The linesmen of the electricity department deputed at this location have not realised the error as yet. Neither have the elected representatives of the local Village Panchayat, the VP of Durbhat have initiated prompt favourable action in the welfare of the public at large.
As on Saturday, the fixture was noticed in a similar condition.
Let us hope that the neglected fixture would be re-installed in its correct position soon, so that proper illumination would be assured on the road.
