Tilamol: Tilamol junction is the most unsafe for the people. This junction which is an intersection of roads leading to Zambaulim, Margao, Curchorem and Chandor, is the most dangerous spot for the motorists and pedestrians.
James Fernandes, a local informed that at the Tilamol junction many fatal accidents have occurred. But the authorities have not yet initiated any measures to mitigate the issue though land was acquired and beautification plan was drawn long ago. Traffic personnel posted to regulate the traffic have no proper arrangements to discharge his duty.
Kuldeep Gurav, resident from Zambaulim, shared his experience about how dangerous is the junction when ore transportation is going on this route. Also when schools are operating, there is high risk to the students when they are crossing the junction because there are no safety measures at the junction such as Zebra Crossing or signal.
Also sometimes rash driving is a concern at the junction. Besides, CCTVs which are installed at the junction is also not functioning. The concerned authorities need to urgently look into this for the safety of all.
