Public drinking is becoming an absolute nuisance!
People don’t seem to need a reason to drink and as they are the public, they think that they own the public spaces to drink and leave a mess wherever they feel like.
This road between St Michael Church and Fern Residency seems to attract all the miscreants who drink publicly anywhere along the road, anytime of the day.
The picture is the most popular spot for this kind of misbehaviour, but not the only area.
Besides drinking there at all hours of the day, they think they own the roads by blocking the road with their cars and bikes, talk loudly, glare at walkers and make a mess of the road and farms with their litter slowly destroying the environment and reducing safety on the roads. This tolerance to public drinking must stop. Who is responsible for ensuring this? As a walker I no longer feel safe.
