A huge tree along the Vasco-Mangor road was uprooted due to heavy rains a few weeks back. The authorities cut down the tree but has left all the logs and branches by the roadside for days together.
This causes obstruction to the pedestrians who walk along the roadside.
However, when it comes to removal, it remains contested as to who the tree belongs to and therefore who pays for its removal from the roadside.
Till then, the nuisance poses danger to the traffic passing through this busy road and can result in accidents especially when the street lights are not working. The authorities concerned should clear the mess before any untoward incident takes place.
