It is seen that thousands of trees have been cut down in the state while carrying out the widening of the roads. However many of those trees, which have not faced the axe, are seen standing precariously with their roots exposed as seen in the photograph.
This is so as a result of the mud along the shoulder of the roads having been excavated in order to widen the roads. These trees are most likely to get uprooted during the monsoon as a result of the strong winds and the washing away of the remaining mud around the roots with the rain water thereby posing danger to life and property.
It seems necessary to either cut down these trees or strengthen them by providing for mud around them so that the roots are completely covered.
