Seen in the picture are branches of an adjoining tree touching live electrical wires adjacent to Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus-stand in Ponda.
Although, maintenance vehicles of the Electricity Department proceed along this location on regular basis, the branches remain unattended and the situation turns dangerous for the travellers and pedestrians alike. There is every possibility of short circuit taking place thereby turning it dangerous for precious human lives. As on Saturday, October 31, situation in this regard was found to be the same.
I sincerely request the higher officials at the Ponda Electricity Department to take a note of this serious matter and trim the branches touching electrical wires at once before the situation turns from bad to worse. Prompt positive action in this regard would indeed assure relief to public at large.
