Recently branches of an adjoining tree have been hanging in close proximity to the main electrical wires adjacent to Almeida High School, in the vicinity of old bus stand, Ponda. The situation turns dangerous and a threat to human lives and property. During winds there is every possibility of a short circuit taking place sooner or later. This is bound to result in adverse consequences. Hence it is necessary that the said branches are chopped on priority basis so as to avoid any untoward incident. Recently, it is noticed that situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. Let us hope that the higher officials at the electricity department would take a note of this sensitive matter and initiate prompt favourable action on priority basis.
