We, in general, are aware of the dangers such as accidents and damage to life and property associated with rash driving. Recently, several people suffered an unexpected hazard on the Dona Paula – Goa University road.
On Saturday (May 21) morning around 10 am, I and my wife were in a car waiting to take a u-turn near NIO Colony Ganesh Temple. We noticed a yellow sports car racing towards Goa University at a very high speed with thunderous noise. When the car zoomed past, both of us felt severe pain instantly in our ears due to the sound intensity. Upon enquiry, couple of persons standing at the temple also confirmed that they too felt the pain.
The yellow sports car in question was creating very high sound intensity enroute causing immense hardship to the people in the vicinity. The car was at a very high speed and the number could not be read with naked eye to lodge a police complaint. The Traffic Police and RTO authorities should restrain such vehicles and drivers from coming onto the roads and becoming a public hazard.
