Is the electricity department above the law? Seen in the picture the electric pole L-T-063-12/57/2 the wires are entangled with each other in unsystematic manner at Pompurpa.
If the electricity department does not follow its own rules, how can they enforce it and expect others to follow the rules, when they come for inspection and provide new electrical installation to houses and industries.
Leave alone the problem of frequent power outages, the department cannot solve these basic issues and repair old and broken wires.
The cause of the problem can be traced decades back when power connection from the pole with two-way cable of aluminium wires was given to five houses, including mine.
Several years have passed but the wires connected to the line are still kept open without even taping it or providing proper insulation.
When the wind blows, the wires, which have become weak cannot withstand the pressure of the wind and are either broken or become loose, which causes fluctuation and affects various electrical home appliances.
Will the electricity department please help solve this problem faced by the residents of Pompurpa?
