VASCO: The round-about at Vales junction has been restructured after locals and the Chicalim Panchayat raised concerns over the wrongly conceived structure of the round-about.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had recently completed the work of restructuring the round-about.
The circle had become talk of the town for obvious reasons of being wrongly protruding into the road leading the airport from Alto-Dabolim.
Locals and Chicalim Panchayat had claimed that the roundabout was built without a thought which created confusion to traffic coming from both directions.
It is also noted that several accidents happened here due to the protruding circle.
Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho had informed that there were plans to rectify the problem.
The circle has been trimmed on lane going towards airport.
