VALPOI: The Valpoi Municipal Council (VMC) has totally failed in implementing the traffic management plan for the Valpoi town. For the last seven years, the Valpoi civic body is only holding meetings and having discussions on the traffic management plan but nothing is seen in practical.
“They have failed to solve the traffic problems of the Valpoi town. It’s too much now. The present Valpoi Municipal Council body is of no use. We will overthrow them in future. Now in the coming days, we will hold morcha at the Valpoi Municipal Council,” claim the locals from Valpoi town.
It is known fact that due to lack of proper traffic management plan and increase in the number of vehicles, Valpoi is witnessing major traffic jams everywhere in town.
“The present VMC body is taking the benefit of the council to expand their own business in the Valpoi town by constructing big commercial buildings without parking place. Most of the councillors are doing the illegality in the Valpoi municipality. No one is there to expose them. They are doing too much. They have crossed the limits of illegality,” alleged another local.
