It is very surprising to see that the only road stretch of Vegaswado to Mainathbhati has been left without hot mixing. Actually this road exists since Portuguese time and perhaps the first road in Arpora.
The road connects to St. Joseph’s High School and school students use the road to commute to and fro. Therefore the question arises, why this road was ignored by government?
There could be political and commercial reasons because many commercial establishments are coming up in this area.
This area is also known as ‘Singapore’ of Arpora, a comment which was made during an Assembly session. Therefore, this road is also having monetary importance.
When it’s claimed that government is continuous process then why the discrimination while hot mixing the roads? The Parra side of the road has been hot mixed, however the Arpora side has been left out. Since monsoons have begun and very clear we will have a reply that hot mixing is not possible, the only request we would have to the PWD is to atleast patch up potholes as soon as possible to give relief to the students.
