The locals from Siolim Constituency have been making a beeline to the PWD office to file their complaints and other issues of frequent water supply pipeline leaking.
The consumers have been leading morchas and shouting slogans as there is no proper water supply but enough water to flow into the drains and on the roads. First, the consumers were asked to attach their old bill but now a new trend has been added by the PWD Water Supply Department with no circular signed by the Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer asking the consumers to attach a copy of their Aadhaar Card for any type of applications to be received in the office.
Such practices are uncalled for only to create waste of paper while the Aadhaar Card document was not supposed to be used for such letters. Will the PWD Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer kindly clarify for the benefit of the consumers?
