Time and again reports are being brought up by various reporters from print and electronic media about pot holes and stray cattle menace. Issues were also brought up in the Legislative Assembly, where our honorable Chief Minister had assured the House, remedial measures regarding filling of the pot holes and stopping the stray cattle menace at the earliest.
Santosh Chari, a social worker from Padocem, Sakhali who is also the President of Save Goa Abhiyaan along with the members of the organisation had undertaken a mission to tackle this cattle menace. However, Santosh after working for four years and spending his own funds, he quit in 2018 due to lack of Government support.
Our Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho was over enthusiastic in implementing the new traffic rule, but due to repeated reports by commuters and opposition leader Digamber Kamat in the media about the accidents due to poor road conditions, our CM thought it right that “New traffic rules” will be implemented in 2020.
My humble appeal to our dynamic CM, along with the repairs of the roads, impounding of stray cattle which includes also dogs, removable of construction materials on the roads, illumination of street lights only then our CM should implement the New Traffic Rules.
