When will a VIP visit the interior villages? Noticing that the roads are tarred only upon the visit of a VIP, this is a question which frequents the minds of the daily commuters who use the interior villages’ roads which are in a pathetic condition to commute to work.
One of the roads which is in need of urgent repairs is the Haturlim-Mayem road, which is used by most of the people from Bicholim, Sanquelim to travel to work as it is one of the shortest route leading to Chorao ferry.
This road is full of potholes and it becomes difficult to identify the same especially when it rains heavily. Besides, the daily commuters are exposed to several health issues such as pain in the backbone for no fault of theirs due to these poor roads, not to forget the frequent repairs to their vehicles.
Request the concerned authorities to look into this on a priority basis.
